As of January 6th, both fellow GCC Fashion student Jenna Curcio and myself, are official published Style Gurus for the rad website College Fashionista! What exactly is College Fashionista, you may ask? Well, let’s turn to their website bio for a definitive answer:
“CollegeFashionista.com is a fashion website for those who are passionate about the latest college fashion styles, trends and happenings on campuses aroud the world. The concept- give young adults a medium through which they can experience the latest college trends and where their cunning eye for fashion, photography and self-expression can be showcased. College Fashionista allows students and other young adults to view photographs of what their peers are wearing at college campuses around the world and gain valuable insight and tips on how to incorporate these looks into their own college wardrobes. The website features columns written by hundreds of people, with a spectrum of fashion views, all attending universities across the world. These are our “Style Gurus.” Our Style Gurus contribute articles and photos capturing the latest in collegiate women’s and men’s fashion, accessories, beauty, dorm decor and more.”
To me, the special category of articles where Style Gurus write about interesting fashions they experience while studying abroad, the new “Guys” section of College Fashionista which seeks to bring men’s fashion to the forefront of industry conversation, and the ability to like, or “Rad” other Gurus’ articles, are particularly exciting facets of the website!
I feel so incredibly fortunate to be able to participate in this rewarding and educational internship opportunity, and I can’t wait to delve deeper into this fun new world!
