It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And to celebrate, two teams of GCC Fashion Program students were fortunate enough to be able to decorate holiday windows for Batavia’s own Charles Men’s Shop! These visual displays will be a part of the city’s annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest, with judging taking place on December 4th. This coincides with the 2015 Christmas in the City, taking place in Downtown Batavia (see details below)!
While we are competing, both teams decided to go with the overall theme of “The Night Before Christmas”, to insure display cohesion. This is the window that my team came up with! A young boy trying on his father’s Sunday suit, on Christmas eve. By the way, it looks even better at night. 😉
And this is the second team’s window! It features an adorable miniature mantelpiece all decked out for Saint Nick to come calling! It also, looks stunning at night, so please stop by and check it out!
